After the roller coaster ride that was 2012, I have decided that 2013 will be a year that I will choose to really live. Not just live in big ways by acquiring things or being fabulous, but by also really taking time to appreciate the small things.
Having had a sister be diagnosed with Breast Cancer and subsequent mastectomy, having lost a brother to a Pulmonary Embolism, coming to terms with the fact that both of my children have seizure disorders, having my own health concerns (brought on more than likely by stress), and having to start the whole house hunting process over again, all I can say is, my lifestyle has been real heavy on the life part this last 365. Yes, I know this is a run-on…would it really be appropriate to correct me while I’m pouring my heart out? Of course not!!
My point is, with everything that happens in life, sometimes you just have to take the time to stop and do something small, like hug the dog, because that’s what you need at the time. It does absolute wonders for me because not only does it calm me down, but my dog gives the best hugs.
I know its January 7th, but the year is still new. I don’t feel it is too late to wish you all, not just a Happy New Year, but a year filled with lots of little gratifying moments that are constant reminders that living well is really about the simple things. All the lifestyle, luxury, and glam is really just gravy when its all said and done. Love those around you, smell the roses, and if you don’t have a dog, find one to hug. You won’t be sorry.
Let’s have a great year together!
